The RT Nagar police on Sunday arrested a 21-year-old delivery executive for molesting a Brazilian model while delivering a grocery on October 17.
The victim who was scared about the incident,did not disclosed the incident until her three other flatmates approached the owner of their company and raised the concern.
Based on the complaint filed by Karthik Vinayak,the police registered an FIR against the accused charging him under section 75(1) (offence of sexual harassment) and 76 (assaulting a woman or using criminal force against her with the intent to disrobe her or compel her to be naked) on Saturday.
The police based on the delivery history track down the accused identified as Kumar,Diploma student working part time as delivery executive.He was arrested and remanded to judicial custody.
The incident occurred when the victim,living in an apartment provided by the company along with three other models,ordered a grocery from Blinkit app.
The accused went to the address to deliver the goods and touched her inappropriately when she came to get the order.Shocked by this,the victim pushed him out and locked the door .
She later shared the incident with her flatmates who raised the complaint with the owner of their company, who later verified the CCTV footage to confirm the incident and approached the police .
