City Police commissioner Seemant Kumar Singh , suspended DJ Halli police Inspector and his Assistant on the charges of blackmailing a woman seeking sexual favours .
Based on the FIR filed by the victim,the accused officials identified as Sunil HB and Assistant Sub Inspector, Prakash were suspended while investigations initiated against the duo in Peenya Police station.
The victim in her complaint said that she had visited the station in December last year to file a cheating complaint against her relative .
The accused Inspector took her personal number and began to chat with a proposal to have relationship offering to help her set up Beauty parlour and a house .
He also proposed to marry her and had physical relationship .
According to the complaint,the accused forced her for physical relationship and started forcing her for video calls and sexual favours.
Meanwhile Assistant Sub Inspector,Prakash came to know about the relationship,started calling to blackmail demanding sexual favours.
When the matter was brought to the notice of Sunil,he started avoiding her and even threatened her with dire consequences.
Unable to bear harassment,the victim approached the Director General and Inspector General of Police seeking justice .
Based on the direction of the senior officials,the police have registered an FIR charging the duo under BNS Sections 351(2) (criminal intimidation), 69 (sexual intercourse by deceitful means), and 75(1) (sexual harassment).
Both accused are currently absconding, and a special team has been formed to track them down he added.
